Adani Defence & Aerospace’s Kanpur Ammunition Complex won the prestigious Society of Indian Defence Manufacturers (SIDM) Champion Award 2025 for excellence in design, manufacturing, and testing. Presented by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on October 31, 2025, in the presence of Defence Secretary Rajesh Kumar Singh, this recognition highlights the complex’s advanced manufacturing capabilities aligned with Industry 4.0 standards, automation, and AI-driven precision systems. Spanning 500 acres, the facility produces small to large-caliber ammunition with high safety and quality standards, reinforcing India’s strategic self-reliance in defense production under the “Make in India, Made for the World” vision. CEO Ashish Rajvanshi emphasized that the award reaffirms Adani Defence’s commitment to transforming India into a global defense manufacturing hub, crucial for enhancing national security and supporting Aatmanirbhar Bharat objectives amidst intensifying regional geopolitical challenges.
