Adani Defence to Bid for India's AMCA Stealth Fighter Program
Adani Defence & Aerospace has announced its intention to bid for India’s Advanced Medium Combat Aircraft (AMCA) program, aimed at developing a fifth-generation stealth fighter jet. This initiative, spearheaded by the Aeronautical Development Agency under the DRDO, allows both public and private sector participation, with a budget of approximately ₹15,000 crore allocated for development. The AMCA, designed for air superiority and electronic warfare, targets the first aircraft delivery to the Indian Air Force by 2034-35. Adani’s involvement highlights the increasing role of private players in India’s defense manufacturing, reinforcing the government’s push for self-reliance and indigenous military technology advancement.
