The Aeronautical Development Agency (ADA) is outsourcing key project management activities for the Advanced Medium Combat Aircraft (AMCA) program to enhance efficiency in developing India’s fifth-generation stealth fighter. This strategic move focuses on stakeholder coordination, procurement management, and project scheduling, with a contract valued at ₹50-100 crore. The outsourcing aims to mitigate delays typically associated with large defense projects, ensuring timely rollout of the first prototype by 2028 and induction by 2035. By leveraging private sector expertise under the Make in India initiative, the ADA seeks to bolster the AMCA’s indigenous content, thus reinforcing India’s self-reliance in defense capabilities.
