CERT-In Issues Urgent Alert for Microsoft Users on Critical Vulnerability

The Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-In) has issued a high-severity alert regarding a critical vulnerability, CVE-2025-60724, affecting various Microsoft products, including Windows OS, Microsoft Office, Azure, and SQL Server. This flaw allows cybercriminals to exploit a buffer overflow in the Microsoft Graphics Component, potentially enabling unauthorized access to sensitive user data and facilitating ransomware attacks. Users of multiple Windows versions, including Windows 10 and 11, are urged to update their systems immediately as Microsoft has released a patch to address this issue.
