Two individuals were injured in separate explosions in Bishnupur district, Manipur, on Monday morning. The first blast, attributed to an improvised explosive device, occurred at an abandoned house linked to ongoing ethnic violence, while the second explosion happened as locals gathered at the site of the initial blast. The injured, identified as Sanatomba Singh and Indubala Devi, were treated at a government hospital and are reportedly out of danger. Local residents expressed frustration towards security forces, accusing them of lapses despite their presence in the area, further complicating the already tense situation in Manipur, which has been marred by ethnic strife since May 2023.
