Pakistan's Air Force tests Taimoor cruise missile, enhancing defense capabilities.

The Pakistan Air Force (PAF) has successfully conducted a flight test of the indigenously developed Taimoor Air-Launched Cruise Missile, capable of striking targets at a range of 600 kilometers with high precision. This development, described as a significant milestone in enhancing Pakistan’s aerospace and defense capabilities, features advanced navigation and guidance systems allowing low-altitude flight to evade hostile defenses. Senior military officials and engineers oversaw the launch, which exemplifies Pakistan’s commitment to technological self-reliance in its defense industry. The Taimoor missile not only strengthens the PAF’s operational flexibility but also highlights the evolving regional security dynamics and the need for credible deterrence amid ongoing tensions. Simultaneously, internal security issues persist, as reports indicate rising tensions between the Pakistan Army and local villages in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, where allegations of indiscriminate shelling during military operations have sparked protests and calls for accountability, thereby complicating the narrative of national security amidst technological advancements.
