The Counter-Intelligence Wing Kashmir (CIK) has taken decisive legal action against a digital propaganda ring accused of disseminating anti-national content in the region. Following a declaration from a Special NIA Court that the accused are absconding, the CIK emphasized that these individuals, posing as journalists and freelancers, utilized social media platforms to circulate misleading narratives aimed at inciting violence and promoting secessionist agendas. The ongoing investigation, sparked by credible intelligence, uncovered serious offences under the IPC and UAPA, highlighting the persistent threat posed by digital subversion to India’s sovereignty.
