Recent incidents, including the lynching of Amrit Mondal and the brutal killing of Dipu Chandra Das, have prompted India to express serious concerns regarding the safety of these communities and to demand justice. The Indian Ministry of External Affairs condemned the sustained hostility and criticized the interim government for failing to provide adequate investigations. As Bangladesh approaches its February elections, the interim government’s ability to stabilize domestic security and mend diplomatic relations with India will be crucial for restoring trust between the two nations sharing a 4,096-kilometre border.
