Rolls-Royce Plans MRO Facility for IAF's AE2100 Engine

Rolls-Royce is considering establishing a Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) facility for the AE2100 engine used by the Indian Air Force (IAF), aligning with the India-UK Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA). This initiative aims to strengthen bilateral defense collaboration and reinforce Rolls-Royce’s commitment to India by enhancing local capabilities and scaling partnerships in the multi-role transport aircraft program. Furthermore, the company plans to double its sourcing from India over the next five years, showcasing its strategy to integrate deeper into the Indian aerospace sector and foster innovation, thereby supporting the Indian defense ecosystem while solidifying the strategic India-UK relationship.
