Denmark accuses Russian-linked hackers of attacking water plant, elections.

Denmark has accused Russian-linked hacker groups of conducting cyberattacks on its infrastructure, specifically targeting a water treatment plant and local elections. Defense Minister Troels Lund Poulsen announced plans to summon the Russian ambassador following these incidents, which are seen as part of a broader hybrid warfare strategy by Moscow to instill insecurity in nations supporting Ukraine. The military intelligence agency (FE) has identified the pro-Russian groups NoName057 and Z-Pentest as instrumental in these operations. Denmark’s commitment to Ukraine is underscored by recent developments, including the establishment of a Ukrainian arms factory on Danish soil, highlighting the heightened security concerns in Europe amid ongoing tensions with Russia.
