India’s External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar co-chaired the 16th Joint Commission and 5th Strategic Dialogue with the UAE, marking a significant step in the evolving Comprehensive Strategic Partnership. The discussions encompassed a range of topics, including enhanced trade, energy collaboration, and defense cooperation, reflecting a mutual commitment to regional stability. Notably, progress on the India-Middle East-Europe Economic Corridor (IMEC) was highlighted as a transformative initiative for trade efficiency. Both nations aim to deepen ties in critical areas such as civil nuclear technology, space exploration, and critical minerals, showcasing aligned strategic interests in high-technology sectors. This engagement underscores India’s multi-alignment strategy in West Asia, enhancing its partnerships and fostering regional integration amid global geopolitical shifts.
