During a recent visit to the Army Headquarters in Abuja, Nigeria’s Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Waidi Shaibu, and Indian Defence Adviser Colonel Manoj Singh reaffirmed the strategic military partnership between Nigeria and India. The discussions emphasized enhancing collaboration in areas such as counter-terrorism, intelligence sharing, and military training, underscoring India’s significant role in Nigeria’s defense capacity building. Singh praised the Nigerian Army’s efforts in addressing security challenges and expressed India’s commitment to expanding defense cooperation through increased training opportunities and technical exchanges.
