India is set to advance its space exploration capabilities with several ambitious upcoming missions, including the historic Gaganyaan, which will send its first crewed flight into low-Earth orbit. The Shukrayaan-1 mission to Venus in 2028 will enhance understanding of planetary atmospheres, while Mangalyaan-2 aims for a soft landing on Mars by 2030, marking a significant leap in deep space exploration. Collaboratively, the LUPEX mission with Japan’s JAXA will target lunar exploration, focusing on water ice resources essential for future human bases.
