DRDO transfers seven innovative technologies to enhance Indian Armed Forces' capabilities.
On December 2, 2025, the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) handed over seven indigenous technologies, developed under the Technology Development Fund (TDF) scheme, to India’s Tri-Services during a meeting of its Empowered Committee at DRDO Bhawan in New Delhi, chaired by DRDO Chairman Dr. Samir V. Kamat. These innovations, crafted by Indian MSMEs, startups, and industry in collaboration with DRDO and the armed forces, bolster self-reliance by curbing import dependence across critical domains. Key transfers include an indigenous high-voltage power supply for airborne self-protection jammers, tide-efficient gangway for naval jetties, advanced VLF-HF switching matrix systems, VLF loop aerials for underwater platforms, waterjet propulsion for fast interceptor craft, lithium precursor recovery from used batteries, and long-life seawater batteries for underwater surveillance. The event also approved 12 new TDF projects in strategic, aerospace, naval, and electronic warfare areas, accelerating Aatmanirbhar Bharat in defence
