Gujarat ATS dismantles Pakistan intelligence-driven espionage network targeting Indians.

The Gujarat Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) dismantled a Pakistan intelligence-operated espionage network on December 4, 2025, arresting retired Army Subedar Ajaykumar Surendrasingh Singh (47) from Goa and Rashmani Ravindra Pal (35) from Daman for targeting Indian defense personnel via social media honey traps. Posing as “Ankita Sharma” and “Priya Thakur,” Pakistani handlers like “Abdul Sattar” and “Khalid” contacted Singh during his 2022 Dimapur posting, extracting details on unit deployments, officer movements, and exercises, while sending Trojan malware for device access and routing payments through Airtel Payments Bank. Pal created fake profiles to befriend Army personnel using number lists from handlers, facilitating cross-border fund transfers linked to Multan, Sargodha, and Lahore IPs. Coordinated with SOG units in Mehsana, Kheda, Surat, Dahod, UP Police, Daman, Goa forces, and central agencies, the probe under FIR Sections 61 and 148 of BNS highlights India’s robust vigilance against foreign threats to national security
