Kremlin ready for talks with US, warns of war over Ukraine.

Russian President Vladimir Putin has conveyed Moscow’s readiness for war if European leaders continue to obstruct peace efforts regarding the Ukraine conflict. This declaration follows high-stakes talks in Moscow between US envoys, including Jared Kushner, and Russian officials, where no significant progress was made on a peace settlement. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov emphasized the necessity of ongoing discussions, reflecting Russia’s willingness to engage in negotiations as long as required for resolution. However, Putin criticized European leaders for allegedly working against a peaceful agenda, claiming that their actions aim to undermine US attempts to facilitate a compromise. These developments underscore the heightened tensions in the region and the complex dynamics at play, as European nations express concerns over potentially coercive peace terms that could further jeopardize Ukraine’s sovereignty and security amidst fears of increased Russian aggression.
