Indian Army deploys indigenous vehicles in UN missions, enhancing peacekeeping efforts.

The Indian Army has enhanced its participation in UN peacekeeping operations by deploying indigenous armoured vehicles, including the KalyM4 and Sherp ATVs, which provide improved protection and mobility for troops. This strategic initiative aligns with India’s self-reliance objectives and also focuses on efficient logistical support through the swift delivery of essential supplies. Currently, over 5,000 Indian peacekeepers are engaged in nine active missions worldwide, showcasing India’s commitment to global peace and security. These advancements not only reinforce India’s military capabilities but also bolster its reputation as a responsible contributor to international peacekeeping efforts.
