BonV Aero's Air Orca UAV Enhances Military Logistics at High Altitudes

On November 29, 2025, Indian aerospace startup BonV Aero showcased its heavy-lift unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), the Air Orca, designed for high-altitude military logistics, notably outperforming existing helicopter capabilities by successfully lifting 30 kilograms at Umling La Pass, the world’s highest motorable pass. This indigenous UAV technology is poised to transform logistics in challenging terrains, offering autonomy and enhanced payload capacity for supply missions and humanitarian aid in sensitive border areas. The Indian Army is currently evaluating 15-20 of BonV Aero’s UAVs for critical logistical roles, reinforcing India’s strategic mobility and self-reliance in defense technology. The successful completion of a Beyond Visual Line of Sight mission covering 60 kilometers further validates the operational maturity of this advanced aerial logistics solution.
