Anduril launches AI-driven EagleEye combat helmet to enhance Australian forces' situational awareness.

Anduril Industries Australia has launched the AI-driven EagleEye combat helmet, a sophisticated soldier system designed to significantly boost situational awareness through AI and augmented reality (AR) technologies. This system integrates mixed-reality displays, an AI-powered mission command interface, and a sensor fusion platform that consolidates battlefield data in real-time, enhancing decision-making in complex environments. Available in multiple configurations including full ballistic protection and lightweight daytime variants, EagleEye also features rear and flank sensors, spatial audio, and radio frequency detection to alert soldiers of concealed threats. The helmet’s design balances advanced protection with ergonomic comfort for extended use and enables control of unmanned systems on the move. This innovation aligns with global military trends toward AI-enabled soldier systems to reduce cognitive load and enhance operational efficiency. For India, adopting such technology is critical for modernizing forces amid evolving threats, improving battlefield awareness, and integrating autonomous capabilities—imperative goals given India’s strategic environment in the near future. The launch follows Anduril’s US Army $159 million contract in September 2025 to develop helmet-mounted mixed reality systems, signaling rapidly advancing soldier-centric AI defense tech relevant for Indian armed forces modernization efforts.
