BrahMos Missile Gains Global Attention at Dubai Airshow 2025 After Operation Sindoor Success

The BrahMos supersonic cruise missile has emerged as a global focal point at the Dubai Airshow 2025, drawing heightened international interest following its standout combat debut in Operation Sindoor this year. During the operation, conducted in mid-2025, BrahMos missiles launched by the Indian Air Force delivered rapid, precision strikes against multiple targets, effectively neutralizing up to 11 Pakistani air bases within minutes. The missile’s combination of Mach 3 speed, advanced guidance, and low-altitude flight proved too challenging for Pakistan’s Chinese-supplied HQ-9B and HQ-16 air defense systems, which failed to intercept any incoming missile. As a result, the BrahMos is now acclaimed for its “uninterceptable” reputation, leading to an unprecedented surge in demand from countries in Southeast Asia and the Gulf, with several new export negotiations reportedly underway at the Airshow.
