US Greenlights $105M Upgrade for Ukraine's Patriot Missile Systems
On November 18, 2025, the U.S. government approved a $105 million foreign military sale to Ukraine aimed at upgrading its Patriot air defense systems. This package will enhance the operational capacity of existing M901 launchers to the advanced M903 configuration, allowing for the integration of various missile types and improved capabilities against threats, including hypersonic missiles. The sale, which includes essential training and logistical support primarily from RTX Corp. and Lockheed Martin, underscores U.S. commitment to bolstering Ukraine’s defense amidst ongoing conflict with Russia. This strategic enhancement not only strengthens Ukraine’s military capabilities but also aligns with U.S. foreign policy objectives to maintain stability in Europe and counter evolving missile threats.
