IAF's Dhruv helicopter safely lands near Bareilly after technical issue.

An Advanced Light Helicopter (ALH) of the Indian Air Force (IAF) made a safe emergency landing in an open field near Gora Loknathpur village in Bareilly on November 17, 2025, due to a technical snag encountered during a routine training mission. The aircrew, adhering to established safety protocols, executed a controlled descent, ensuring the safety of all personnel on board and preventing any damage to civilians or property. Following the landing, another helicopter was dispatched to the site for a preliminary inspection, and the crew was subsequently transported back to their base. A technical recovery team has been tasked with conducting a thorough investigation to determine the cause of the malfunction, whether it be mechanical, electronic, or environmental. This incident underscores the IAF’s commitment to maintaining high standards of flight safety and operational readiness, highlighting the effectiveness of its training and emergency procedures in mitigating risks associated with technical anomalies.
