Terrorism and Counterterrorism

Amit Shah commits to pursuing Red Fort blast terrorists relentlessly.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah has vowed to bring to justice those responsible for the recent car blast near the Red Fort in Delhi, asserting that the government will pursue the perpetrators “even from the depths of Paatal.” Speaking at the Northern Zonal Council meeting, Shah emphasized the Modi government’s unwavering commitment to eradicating terrorism, highlighting a zero-tolerance stance against such acts. The meeting, which began with a tribute to the victims of the blast that claimed 15 lives, also focused on improving regional cooperation and addressing pressing societal issues, including crimes against women and children. Shah called for the expansion of Fast Track Special Courts to expedite justice for victims, reiterating that the safety of women and children remains a national priority. The National Investigation Agency has made significant progress in the investigation, arresting key conspirators linked to a sophisticated terror network believed to have orchestrated the attack, which underscores the ongoing challenges posed by radicalized elements operating within and across state lines.
