Terrorism and Counterterrorism

NIA arrests Kashmiri man linked to Delhi car bomb blast investigation.

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has made a significant arrest in connection with the November 10 car bomb blast in Delhi, apprehending Amir Rashid Ali, a Kashmiri resident who allegedly conspired with the suicide bomber, Umar Un Nabi. The NIA’s investigation revealed that Ali facilitated the car purchase used as a vehicle-borne improvised explosive device (IED) for the attack. The agency has been conducting a thorough probe, collaborating with various police forces and examining multiple leads to uncover the larger conspiracy behind the bombing. This development underscores the ongoing threat posed by terrorist networks and the importance of inter-agency cooperation in counter-terrorism efforts in India.
