The Ministry of Defence has signed a significant contract with Bharat Dynamics Limited (BDL) worth Rs 2,095.70 crore for the procurement of INVAR Anti-tank Missiles, aimed at enhancing the lethality of the T-90 tank, a vital asset of the Indian Army’s Armoured Regiments. This sophisticated laser-guided missile boasts a high hit probability, promising to transform mechanized operations and provide a strategic advantage over adversaries. The contract, executed under the ‘Buy (Indian)’ category, underscores the government’s commitment to self-reliance in defense, leveraging the capabilities of domestic public sector undertakings and the development of niche technologies.
