A Sukhoi-30 MKI fighter jet of the Indian Air Force (IAF) made an emergency landing at Dehradun’s Jolly Grant Airport due to a technical snag involving fuel leakage from its engine during a flight from Bareilly. The aircraft was safely accommodated at the airport, with IAF engineers promptly addressing the technical issue. Airport authorities indicated that repairs were underway, with expectations for the jet to return to flight soon. This incident underscores the operational capability of Jolly Grant Airport to handle IAF fighter aircraft, marking its continuing support for military operations since 2018, despite this being the first emergency landing of a Sukhoi jet at the facility.
