The India-Sri Lanka joint military exercise ‘Mitra Shakti 2025’ commenced in Belagavi, Karnataka, focusing on enhancing counter-terrorism capabilities through joint tactical operations. Featuring 170 Indian soldiers, primarily from the Rajput Regiment, and 135 Sri Lankan soldiers from the Gajaba Regiment, the exercise includes integrated tri-service participation with air force personnel from both nations. Advanced technologies, such as drones and rotary-wing support, are employed to simulate real-life counter-terror scenarios, reflecting the evolving nature of warfare.
