CRPF soldier injured in IED blast by Naxalites in Sukma, Chhattisgarh.

A jawan of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) sustained injuries in an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) blast orchestrated by Naxalites in Chhattisgarh’s Sukma district. The incident occurred during an area domination operation in the forested hills near Gogunda, where the CRPF’s 74th battalion inadvertently triggered the pressure IED, resulting in leg injuries. Following initial treatment, the injured jawan was airlifted to Raipur for further medical care. This attack highlights the ongoing threat posed by Maoists in the region, who frequently employ such tactics against security personnel, underscoring the persistent challenges faced by Indian forces in combating insurgency in the Bastar area.
