US to share Gaza resolution draft with key Security Council members.

The United States intends to share a draft resolution regarding President Trump’s peace plan for Gaza with the 10 elected members of the United Nations Security Council, including representatives from Egypt, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and the UAE, indicating regional support. The proposal seeks to establish a transitional governance body and an international stabilization force in Gaza, which could use “all necessary measures” to fulfill its mandate. The resolution requires at least nine votes and no vetoes from the permanent members to pass. This development underscores the U.S.’s proactive role in Middle Eastern geopolitics and the potential for a significant international intervention aimed at stabilizing Gaza amidst ongoing conflict, reflecting broader strategic interests in the region.
