Israel's Foreign Minister Praises India as a Superpower, Seeks Strategic Partnership

During a recent visit to New Delhi, Israel’s Foreign Minister Gideon Saar and Indian External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar engaged in discussions aimed at fortifying the bilateral strategic partnership between the two nations, with a strong focus on counterterrorism cooperation, economic collaboration, and technological advancements. Saar hailed India as a global superpower and emphasized the mutual commitment to combat terrorism, particularly condemning the recent attack in Jammu and Kashmir. Both leaders reaffirmed their dedication to a zero-tolerance approach towards terrorism, with Jaishankar expressing India’s support for the Gaza Peace Plan and the necessity for a durable solution in the region. They also signed a Memorandum of Understanding to enhance training and collaboration between their foreign services, signifying a deepening of diplomatic ties. The talks underscored the importance of cooperation in security, trade, and emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence and cybersecurity, reflecting a shared vision for regional stability and prosperity.
