Israeli FM Saar and EAM Jaishankar to discuss strategic cooperation in New Delhi.

Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar is set to engage in strategic discussions with India’s External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar in New Delhi, focusing on enhancing cooperation in defense, high technology, and innovation. This meeting follows Jaishankar’s recent diplomatic activities in the Gulf region and underscores India’s commitment to fostering robust bilateral relations with Israel, built on trust and mutual support, particularly in combating terrorism. Both leaders expressed their shared objective of achieving peace in Gaza through the support of the Gaza Peace Plan, while also emphasizing the significance of their newly signed Bilateral Investment Agreement, aimed at strengthening economic ties and encouraging joint ventures in sectors like renewable energy and cybersecurity. The agreement is poised to bolster mutual investments, which currently stand at approximately USD 800 million, further advancing the Make in India initiative.
