Cochin Shipyard Limited (CSL) has partnered with Denmark-based Svitzer to manufacture advanced electric TRAnsverse tugboats in India, a pivotal development announced during India Maritime Week in Mumbai. This collaboration aims to combine CSL’s shipbuilding capabilities with Svitzer’s extensive towage expertise to produce eco-friendly vessels, aligning with India’s Maritime India Vision 2030. The innovative tug design will enhance operational efficiency and significantly reduce emissions, supporting India’s green port initiatives.
