DoT launches campaign to activate digital life certificates for pensioners.
The Department of Telecom (DoT) is set to enhance the digital experience for retired personnel by launching a campaign aimed at facilitating the activation of digital life certificates. The Central Government’s CGCA wing will organize over 320 camps across 171 cities by November 2025, addressing the needs of approximately 22,300 pensioners whose life certificates are due for renewal next year. This initiative not only simplifies the verification process but also promotes digital literacy among retired staff, reflecting a commitment to leveraging technology for better service delivery. The broader significance lies in supporting the welfare of pensioners and ensuring they remain connected to essential services in an increasingly digital world.
