First Sekhon IAF Marathon 2025 Celebrates Fitness and National Pride

The first-ever Sekhon Indian Air Force Marathon 2025 (SIM-25) culminated in a grand celebration of fitness and national pride in Delhi, attracting over 12,000 participants and 45,000 runners from 46 Air Force Stations nationwide. The event featured esteemed guests, including Chief of Defence Staff General Anil Chauhan and Air Chief Marshal AP Singh, who participated in the 21 km run, embodying the spirit of the Indian Air Force. Festivities included performances by the IAF Band, a synchronized drill display, and a skydiving show, alongside the unveiling of the Netflix series teaser “Operation Safed Sagar,” honoring the valor of Kargil War heroes. This marathon not only celebrated the legacy of Param Vir Chakra awardee Flying Officer Nirmal Jit Singh Sekhon but also reinforced the IAF’s commitment to unity, fitness, and national pride.
