During the ASEAN Defence Ministers’ Meeting Plus (ADMM-Plus) in Kuala Lumpur, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh emphasized India’s commitment to an open and inclusive Indo-Pacific region free from coercion, highlighting the importance of a rules-based maritime order. He praised Malaysia’s chairmanship and outlined India’s MAHASAGAR vision, aimed at fostering regional cooperation and security across the Indo-Pacific, while integrating economic growth, technology partnerships, and human capital development. Singh reaffirmed India’s dedication to multilateral frameworks, underscoring its role in co-chairing several Expert Working Groups focused on humanitarian assistance, disaster relief, and counter-terrorism.
