Jammu hosts Regional Defence MSME Conclave 2025 to boost local manufacturing.
The Regional Defence MSME Conclave 2025 was held in Jammu on October 30, organized by the Department of Defence Production in partnership with the CII Society of Indian Defence Manufacturers and Mazagon Shipbuilders Ltd. The event focused on integrating regional Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) into India’s defence manufacturing ecosystem, emphasizing self-reliance in the sector. Key figures, including Maj Gen PK Saini (Retd) and Neeraj Agrawal from the Ministry of Defence, discussed the government’s initiatives to support MSMEs, while representatives from Mazagon Dock outlined procurement opportunities for local manufacturers. The conclave underscored the strategic importance of enhancing the indigenous defence industrial base, contributing to national security and operational readiness of the Armed Forces.
