Zen Technologies Launches Vyomkavach CUAS at Drone Summit 2025 in Philippines

Hyderabad-based Zen Technologies showcased its advanced AI-driven anti-drone system Vyomkavach. The system combines electro-optical cameras, radar arrays, and radio-frequency jamming to detect, track, and neutralize drones, achieving a high operational effectiveness demonstrated in tests. Vyomkavach incorporates both soft-kill electronic warfare and hard-kill kinetic capabilities, including a four-barrel rotary machine gun, enabling engagement of hostile drones including swarms and high-threat UAVs like Bayraktar TB2. This modular, multi-sensor platform targets diverse operational scenarios including maritime domains, drawing interest from Southeast Asian defense leaders for potential collaborations. Zen Technologies’ presence aligns with India’s strategic push to indigenize defense technologies and strengthen counter-UAS capabilities amid rising drone threats on global and regional security fronts. The company recently secured a ₹37 crore Ministry of Defence contract for deploying such systems within India, underscoring national self-reliance in critical defense sectors and India’s growing stature in drone countermeasure innovation.

More and more CUAS are finding their way in Indian market to meet the growing demand., both in military and in private industry. The challenges in urban and rural areas for such systems are daunting. The real need of the hour is a reliable indian SI (System Integrator) and the policy landscape to deploy such systems with ease. Even then it addresses only the non kinetic options and the kinetic options are still some distance away for the private players.
