J&K's L-G terminates teachers over ties to Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorism.
Jammu and Kashmir’s Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha has dismissed two teachers, Ghulam Hussain and Majid Iqbal Dar, for their suspected links to the terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT). This decision is part of Sinha’s zero-tolerance policy against terrorism, with approximately 80 government employees terminated under Article 311 in recent years. Investigations revealed that Hussain acted as an overground worker for LeT, involved in radicalizing youth and funding terrorism, while Dar was implicated in narco-terrorism and plotting attacks, including an IED incident. Sinha emphasized the need for sustained efforts in dismantling the terror ecosystem to ensure lasting peace in the region. This action reflects the ongoing commitment to combat terrorism and safeguard public interests in Jammu and Kashmir.
