In a significant advancement for the Indian Air Force (IAF), a Request for Proposal (RFP) has been issued for 800 medium-range Swarm Unmanned Munition Systems (SUMS), designed to engage targets over 350 km away. Each system will deploy a minimum of 20 drones capable of loitering for over 30 minutes while autonomously identifying and targeting both static and dynamic threats.
