BSF reviews Tripura border security amid Bangladesh political changes.
During a recent three-day visit to Tripura, Border Security Force (BSF) Special Director General Mahesh Kumar Aggarwal reviewed operational preparedness in light of heightened security concerns following the political changes in Bangladesh. Meeting with local leaders, including the Tripura Governor and Chief Minister, Aggarwal emphasized the importance of ensuring border security amid the ongoing challenges of cross-border migration and trans-border crimes. The BSF has intensified its operations along the 856 km India-Bangladesh border to enhance vigilance and reinforce troop morale. This proactive stance underscores India’s commitment to maintaining border integrity and security, especially in sensitive regions like Tripura, which is strategically positioned and vulnerable to external influences.
