Raghu Vamsi Machine Tools Pvt Ltd has officially launched India’s first flight-ready Indra turbojet engines, a major milestone in indigenous aerospace technology. The engines, developed entirely within India, are designed for defense purposes, particularly for UAVs, loitering munitions, and target drones. The series includes variants with thrust capacities ranging from 140N to 400N and has undergone rigorous testing to meet global performance and durability standards. This development marks a significant step forward in India’s ambition of reducing reliance on foreign propulsion systems and aligns with the government’s “Atmanirbhar Bharat” initiative.
