Indian Navy's Commanders' Conference to be held from October 22-24, 2025.

The Indian Navy will hold its second biannual Commanders’ Conference from October 22 to 24, 2025, in New Delhi, following the high-intensity Operation Sindoor conducted in May 2025. The conference assumes critical importance as top naval leadership convenes to review operational preparedness along the Western and Eastern seaboards and assess the overall security environment in the Indian Ocean Region (IOR). Discussions will emphasize enhancing combat capabilities, interoperability with the Indian Army, Air Force, and Coast Guard, and future readiness incorporating operational logistics and disruptive technologies like artificial intelligence, machine learning, and big data. The presence of Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, Chief of Defence Staff General Anil Chauhan, and other senior officials underscores the Navy’s strategic role in India’s vision of Viksit Bharat 2047, promoting itself as the preferred security partner in the IOR and Indo-Pacific. The conference highlights the Navy’s strong commitment to indigenization under the Make in India initiative and reflects a proactive stance to emerging geopolitical challenges, building on the successful display of military readiness during Operation Sindoor earlier this year.
