Maharashtra CM sends Diwali sweets to Army personnel at borders.

On October 20, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis flagged off trucks carrying Diwali sweets for Indian Army personnel stationed at border areas, a gesture aimed at providing a sense of homeliness and appreciation for their sacrifices. This initiative, led by the Adharsocial Trust, has been ongoing for a decade, with sweets handmade by “mothers and sisters of the nation.” Concurrently, CRPF jawans in Anantnag celebrated Diwali through traditional rituals, while the Border Security Force (BSF) hosted a festive Mela in Budgam, featuring cultural performances and activities for the families of soldiers. These events reflect the commitment of Indian defense forces to foster morale and celebrate the spirit of unity and gratitude during significant festivals, reinforcing the nation’s support for its armed forces.
