Assam Rifles successfully rescue abducted labourers from NSCN-K rebels in Arunachal Pradesh.

In a swift and coordinated operation, the Assam Rifles, part of the Indian Army’s Spear Corps, successfully rescued two labourers abducted by NSCN-K rebels in Laho village, Arunachal Pradesh, on October 18, 2025. Acting on specific intelligence, the forces mobilized quickly and engaged in a search and rescue operation in the vicinity of Nianu, during which insurgents opened fire on them. The troops showcased professionalism and restraint, managing to rescue the labourers without harm while preventing further insurgent activities in the area.
