On October 17, 2025, the Indian Navy inducted its 11th Ammunition Cum Torpedo Missile (ACTCM) Barge, LSAM 25, at the Naval Dockyard in Mumbai, enhancing its logistical firepower. Constructed by Suryadipta Projects Pvt Ltd, these barges exemplify the Make in India and Aatmanirbhar Bharat initiatives, having been designed in collaboration with an Indian firm and rigorously tested for seaworthiness. With ten barges already delivered and additional contracts awarded for Sullage Barges, this initiative underscores the Navy’s commitment to support MSMEs and enhance operational capabilities. The induction of these vessels is a significant step in bolstering the Indian Navy’s logistical framework, ensuring efficient transportation of ammunition and supplies to naval platforms.
