Army Chief Dwivedi engages global leaders at UNTCC 2025 for defense talks.
Indian Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi is actively participating in high-level discussions with global military leaders on the sidelines of the United Nations Chiefs of the Counter-Terrorism Conference (UNTCC) 2025 in New Delhi. Engaging with senior military officials from countries such as Vietnam, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan, General Dwivedi focused on enhancing defence cooperation through joint training exercises, strategic coordination, and UN peacekeeping initiatives. The meetings highlighted the strong and evolving defence partnerships, particularly with Kazakhstan, where both nations reaffirmed their commitment to regional stability and military interoperability. Additionally, discussions with Vietnam’s Deputy Chief of the General Staff centered on counter-terrorism and collaborative training, reflecting a shared commitment to bolstering security frameworks. The UNTCC 2025, which gathers military chiefs from over 30 nations, aims to address contemporary challenges in peacekeeping and promote India’s role as a pivotal contributor to global security.
