The Indian Army has released a Request for Information (RFI) for the procurement of the Air Defence Fire Control Radar-Drone Detector (ADFCR-DD), which is essential for enhancing ground-based air defense against aerial threats, including drones. This system features advanced radar technologies, capable of tracking multiple targets simultaneously in various terrains while maintaining resilience to electronic countermeasures. With a focus on indigenization and aligning with the Atmanirbhar Bharat initiative, the ADFCR-DD aims to bolster India’s air defense capabilities amid rising drone threats.
