Indian Army inducts upgraded WZT-3 Armoured Recovery Vehicles to boost recovery capabilities.
The Indian Army has enhanced its battlefield recovery capabilities with the formal induction of three refurbished WZT-3 Armoured Recovery Vehicles (ARVs) by the Kharga Corps under the Western Command. Completed in just seven months by Airbonics Defence & Space Pvt Ltd, a subsidiary of JCBL Group, the refurbishment involved comprehensive upgrades despite operational challenges posed by drone threats. The ceremony, attended by senior military officials, highlighted the collaboration between Indian defense forces and industry partners, underscoring the Army’s commitment to modernizing its equipment. This development reflects India’s growing defense manufacturing capacity and strategic partnerships, particularly as JCBL Group aims to co-develop next-generation combat vehicle technologies with Slovakia, enhancing national security and self-reliance in defense.
