The 515 Army Base Workshop (515 ABW) and IndyASTRA Technologies Private Limited have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at enhancing AI-enabled drone capabilities for the Indian Army’s Land Systems. This collaboration focuses on technology infusion in drone manufacturing, particularly in developing an AI-enabled Flight Control System and a Standard Drone Operating Platform. By providing technical consultancy, IndyASTRA will assist in evaluating drone technologies to ensure compliance with Army standards, thereby strengthening indigenous capabilities and reducing import dependence on unmanned systems. This initiative is significant as it promises to expedite the deployment of advanced drone solutions, ultimately enhancing operational efficiency and readiness within the Indian Army.
