A YouTuber from Haryana, Wasim Akram, was arrested for allegedly spying for Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI). The Palwal police claim Akram had been in contact with Pakistani agents for three years, providing them with SIM cards and engaging in sensitive communications. His connection to ISI was reportedly established through another arrested individual, Taufiq, who revealed Akram’s name during interrogation. The police have retrieved incriminating evidence, including deleted WhatsApp chats, and further investigations are underway, with potential additional arrests anticipated. This case underscores the ongoing challenges India faces regarding espionage activities, highlighting the need for heightened vigilance against cross-border threats.
